Deirdre Chetham, executive director, Harvard University Asia Center and author of Before the Deluge: The Vanishing World of the Yangtze's Three Gorges
Deirdre Chetham, a frequent traveler to the Yangtze River for the past twenty years, discusses the history and future of China's controversial Three Gorges Dam, a project that has already displaced 1.3 million people. Chetham discusses how the dam affects the people in the region, along with its archeological, cultural, and environmental impact.
